IMD issues red alert for 8 districts of Kerala, Kochi airport shut till August 18

A red alert, which means heavy to very heavy rainfall in most places, has been issued for Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasargode, Malappuram, Palakkad, Idukki and Ernakulam Districts.
